I was the weird quiet kid, going from city to farmland and back from early childhood but the story was always the same. I came up the hard way, but once I heard the sounds of ZZ top, Metallica, Iron maiden, everything became possible for me, and my musical brain exploded with everything i could dig into. Yeah, life was still rough, but the soundtrack made sense. I never looked back. As I got older, I got rougher and I started to fit in more, or I should say, I cut a groove for myself to live in.
I’m still doing that now even though it’s taken some pretty wild turns over the years. I’ve made some benchmarks though, I was a professional musician, I’ve achieved a couple degrees, worked a few tech jobs, I even found time to chew some gum now and then. you want to know where my soul is? Just look at the trenches behind me when I pass you. You’ll see it plain as day.
